With echoes of atonality, is the most avant-garde work of Puccini, and has fragments that have surpassed the line of the opera to reach the general public as “Nessun dorma”, “In questa reggia” or “Signore, ascolta”.

It was represented 15 times more in the seasons of 1929, 1932, 1939, 1940, 1949, 1958, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1969, 1977, 1993, 1994, and 2006.
