Theatres of OLA Network take part in the discussion “Digitization of theatre programming in pandemic”

The event, organized by Gran Teatro Nacional de Perú in collaboration with OLA, will be held via Facebook Live this Friday, April 23, at 5:00 pm (Peru time), with the participation of prominent representatives of Latin American cultural institutions.

This month, Gran Teatro Nacional del Perú, celebrates a year of their digital platform GTN En Vivo.

 

To talk about the challenges and lessons learned during 2020, four members of OLA will present the discussion and Dialogue table called “Digitization of theater programming in pandemic”.

 

In alliance with Ópera Latinoamérica – OLA, Teatro Municipal, Ópera Nacional de Chile, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo of Bogotá and the Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan (Argentina) the online event that will be held via Facebook Live this Friday, April 23, at 5:00 in the afternoon (Peru time), with the participation of Alejandra Martí (Chile) , Executive Director of OLA; Ramiro Osorio, General Director of Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo; Marianne Lescornez (Chile), Director of Artistic Coordination and Production of the Teatro Municipal of Santiago, Silvana Moreno (Argentina) General and Artistic Director of the Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan and Mauricio Salas (Peru), Coordinator and Programmer of the Gran Teatro Nacional

 

The activity, which is planned as a discussion table to exchange experiences and development, common objectives and plans, it’s aimed at members of the artistic community of the continent, directors of cultural centers and theatres, artists, cultural workers and the general public, with the purpose of exploring little-known aspects about the current challenges of digital theater programming, the application of protocols in productions in times of pandemic and the challenges of digital supply in a normal future.

 

In the current context, planning and presenting performing arts shows and continuing to provide audiences with new cultural content is a constant challenge, which must be assumed by the institutions jointly, in addition to all the support of the artists, producers and promoters who bet on art as a fundamental human tool in difficult times.

 

In the discussion “Digitization of theater programming in pandemic”, the common perspectives, specific challenges and future plans of the theaters in the region will be analyzed and shared to continue producing and planning their programming for the following months and years.

 

The panel will be the former Minister of Culture, cultural manager and director of the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, Ramiro Osorio; the artistic and programming director of Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan, Silvana Moreno; the cultural manager and executive director of Ópera Latinoamérica – OLA, Alejandra Martí; the director of artistic coordination and production of Teatro Municipal of Santiago, Marianne Lescornez; and the general coordinator and programmer of the Gran Teatro Nacional del Perú, Mauricio Salas.
