Preparations for a new OLA Meeting begin with Ministry of Culture of Ecuador and Teatro Nacional Sucre

With the visit to Quito of Andrés Rodríguez, first Vice President of OLA, the preparations for the next OLA Meeting begin. The event will be held in Quito this October 2018 thanks to the support of the Government of Ecuador

During his visit to the capital of Ecuador, the First Vice President of Opera Latinoamérica held meetings with the Vice Minister of Culture and Heritage of Ecuador, Andrea Nina; the Secretary of Culture of the Metropolitan District of Quito, Pablo Corral; and the Executive and Artistic Director of the Sucre National Theater Foundation, Chia Patiño.

In addition, Andrés Rodríguez attended the world premiere of The Magic Flute of the Andes; Mozart’s opera produced entirely by Fundación Teatro Nacional Sucre. Which explored music, aesthetics and the foundations of the Andean cosmovision. The First Vice President of OLA enjoyed the performance in the Presidential theatre box with the Constitutional President of Ecuador Lenin Moreno and the Executive and Artistic Director of Fundación Teatro Nacional Sucre.

He also visited the venues that will receive from October 22nd to 25th the representatives of the theaters that are members of the OLA Network. The annual meeting of Ópera Latinoamérica aims to be a place for exchange and collaboration of contingent issues to members of the network, and that has the participation of more than 20 Latin American theatres, guests from Europe, the United States and Latin America presenting topics such as audience development, new talents and digital communication development.

Theme that will have particular relevance in this meeting, since it will be the first time that OLA Communications and Marketing Forum will take place. The purpose of this meeting is to share experiences, difficulties and good practices among the communication departments of the member theatres.
