Self-Care as the Foundation for Building Healthy Teams | OLA’s 19th Conference

Another key takeaway shared during OLA’s 19th Annual Conference, held at the Municipal Theatres of Lima, was that leadership begins with the care of the person leading. Before leading teams or driving change, it is necessary to develop the ability to look inward and recognize one’s own emotional state.
In this regard, Lucas Yepes, a board member of Teatro Metropolitano de Medellín and head of companies at COMFAMA, emphasized the importance of conducting a self-assessment. He pointed out that, although it is often easier to look outward and identify other people’s problems, the real challenge is to ask oneself:
How am I doing?
How am I looking at the world?
