The Contemporary Cycle of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires opens its 2022 season

El compositor Óscar Strasnoy, uno de cuyos trabajos será presentado en el Ciclo Contemporáneo del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires

It is the Latin American premiere of Kuleshov, Concerto for piano and chamber orchestra, by the Argentine composer Oscar Strasnoy and the South American debut of György Ligeti’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra.

 

On Wednesday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m., the 2022 season of the Contemporary Cycle of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires begins with the concert “Ligeti / Berio / Strasnoy” that will feature the musical direction of maestro Pablo Druker at the head of an ensemble made up of musicians from the main orchestras, and the participation of the violinist Francesco D’Orazio and the pianist Marcelo Balat as soloists.

The composer Luciano Berio, whose work “Sequenza VIII, for solo violin” is part of the program of the Contemporary Cycle of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

 

The musical program will be composed of Kuleshov, Concerto for piano and chamber orchestra, by the Argentine composer Oscar Strasnoy, the Concerto for violin and Orchestra by György Ligeti, and the Sequenza VIII, for solo violin by Luciano Berio.
