The Peruvian tenor Iván Ayón, member of Escena Digital, won the First Prize of the Operalia contest

The young talent was recognized as the best male voice in world opera at the highest international lyrical competition.

 

Iván Ayón, member of Escena Digital, has been awarded the highest award in the Operalia contest. The tenor, born in the city of Piura, Peru, competed in the ‘Premio etta limiti Ópera 2015’ obtaining the Luciano Pavarotti award, in addition to first place in the IV International Lyric Singing Competition in the city of Portofino, Italy in 2018.

 

The Operalia ceremony was held at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and brought together artists between the ages of 18 and 32. The First Prize in the female category went to the Russian mezzo-soprano Victoria Karkacheva.
