Lady Macbeth en Santiago de Chile

Santiago is the neuralgic point of Chile and obligatory stop for every tourist that comes to the country attracted by the impressive nature north and south of the country. The Chilean capital is developing a broad gastronomic and cultural offer received  5,640,700 tourists last year.

Municipal de Santiago, the main opera house of Chile, its a 160 years old. Located in the historical center of this capital close to parks, museums, cultural centres, bars, restaurants and hotels. Between October 12th and 19th will be presenting the opera Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, a work of extremes and limits transgressed in an oppressive atmosphere, where alcohol, overflowed passion and brutal realism, move us without restraint. With a contemporary and raw feel, the plot and expressionist music of wild contrasts by Dmitri Shostakovich, drag the viewer on a turbulent and shattering trip with irresistible energy. The Theatre is located in Santiago, the capital of Chile.

Crossing Santa Lucia hill, you will find the Lastarria Quarter, a real oasis camouflaged in the bustling and busy center of Santiago,  where every corner is a story. A few blocks from the Municipal de Santiago, is Barrio Bellas Artes, which offers various possibilities for activities. There is Parque Forestal, where every weekend you can see families and groups of friends practicing sport, enjoying street shows outdoors or just gathered to share a good time, especially in the summer season.
In the middle of Parque Forestal is the Museum of Fine Arts and Museum of Contemporary Art, possible to visit from Tuesday to Sunday. Next to the Museum of Fine Arts is also the Amphitheater Bellas Artes “Viajeinmóvil”, the first theatre space for puppets or animated forms of Chile.
The neighborhood also concentrates different services, such as restaurants, cafes, clothing and furniture stores, bookshops, lodging, theater rooms, art academies, among others. Its most characteristic streets are Mosqueto, José Miguel de la Barra, Ismael Valdés Vergara, among others. It can be reached quickly as it is within walking distance of the Metro station Bellas Artes.
 
How to get to Santiago?
To get to Santiago from abroad you can choose from all  major airlines that arrive to Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, such as LATAM, American Airlines, British Airways, Alitalia, Copa, Aeromexico, Avianca, KLM, Air Canada among others. Fifteen minutes separates the air terminal of the city and the main tourist districts of Santiago.
