Abstract: In order to satisfy the expectations of the Mexican public who was an opera fan, in 1943 the civil association Ópera Nacional, an organization sponsored by the Mexican government and the Mexican government, was created, becoming one of the first institutions that regularly organized opera seasons in our country. The INBA formally began its activities in the opera field in 1948 with a season of the company that was given the name of Opera of Fine Arts. The National Opera Company has premiered in our country since 1992 works such as Moctezuma, Graun; Alicia, from Ibarra; Florence in the Amazon, of Catán and Idomeneo, of Mozart, and realized important replacements like Electra, of Strauss; La Favorita, by Donizetti; Turandot, by Puccini, and Tata Vasco, by Bernal Jiménez; among others, with a new perspective for the traditional repertoire and cast that includes the most important Mexican voices of international projection.
