Valuable collaboration agreement between OLA and the Jette Parker Young Artists Program of the Royal Opera House

In May, a series of master classes will be held in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile as part of this agreement, allowing Latin American talents to have new support at the beginning of their careers.

.
Since its founding in 2001, the Jette Parker Young Artists Program of the Royal Opera House has supported and promoted the careers of talented international lyric figures who are now part of the circuit of the world’s leading singers: the soprano Marina Poplavskaya, the mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova and bass Matthew Rose, just to name a few. And now, thanks to the signing of a valuable collaboration agreement between that prestigious institution with Opera Latin America, it will also establish direct ties with our region, through the realization of an exploratory tour that seeks to meet Latin American singers and repeaters to learn more about their First steps in the field and the training that young artists receive. At the same time, and as a form of exchange, auditions will be held to participate in master classes for singers throughout May, in cities of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile.

.
Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá and Santiago de Chile will be the scales in the Latin American tour that will be undertaken by the artistic director of the program, the British David Gowland, and the Brazilian stage director André Heller Lopes, who between 2003 and 2005, during his training stage, was precisely one of the beneficiaries of this initiative, which seeks to support artistic development at the beginning of the career of talented artists in different areas of the operatic discipline, allowing them to form their own artistic identity and give them guidance on their future careers.

.
Through this agreement that will coordinate the exchange of efforts, actions and knowledge between the Royal Opera House and OLA, Gowland and Heller Lopes will be able to share their experience with young talents that often come from disadvantaged environments and of wide ethnic and social diversity that in Other circumstances might not be able to develop your career.

.
The May tour will begin in Brazil, at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, daily between Monday 8 and Thursday 11. Then, in Argentina, at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, between Saturday 13 and Tuesday 16. In Chile, will continue in the Municipal de Santiago, between Thursday 18 and Sunday 21. And finally, in Colombia, in the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, between Tuesday 23 and Friday 26.
