Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan invites you to be part of the Jacobs School of Music program – Indiana University

Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan opens the call for training in Technical and Musical Interpretation with the University of Indiana. In addition, active enrolled students will be able to access two scholarships to attend the “Strings Academy of the Jacobs School of Music”.

In the pursuit of artistic excellence and the positioning of the Teatro del Bicentenario and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, it begins an Intensive Program of Technical Training and Music Interpretation in conjunction with the Jacobs School of Music of the University of Indiana (USA).

The Program aims to develop and perfect the technical and interpretive skills of young musicians and students in the specialties of strings, piano, wind, and in the jazz-rock genre.

The INDIANAFestival 2019 will run from May 27 to June 7 inclusive, and includes intensive courses of individual classes, master classes, an intense schedule of concerts, all taught by the professors of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, with the direction of Mimi Zweig and Atar Arad.addition, active students aged 14 to 18 will participate the awarding two scholarships at the University of Indiana, in the Summer String Academy at Jacobs School of Music in June 2019.

It should be noted that starting with the INDIANA FESTIVAL 2019, a concrete collaboration framework is opened in the medium and long term (three to five years) that will lead to professional growth opportunities and provide enriching and constructive experiences for the participants.

The INDIANA 2019 FESTIVAL is organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture through the Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan, in collaboration with the National University of San Juan, Banco San Juan Foundation and San Juan Mozarteum, and has the subsidy of the Embassy of the United States in Argentina, through the Funds Program for Cooperation and Exchange Projects.
