Between March 28 and April 1, the multifaceted artist Francisco Sánchez, a member of Escena Digital, will give the intensive workshop “The art of the minstrel: music, sound and theater”.
The activity is aimed at actors, musicians, singers, circus artists, dancers (professionals or students), and other artists with knowledge or simply interest in music, who want to experience the universe of minstrelsy as a theatrical style in a context where sound and music are computer elements.
The art of the minstrel will be explored as an artist who takes his expressive abilities to the extreme to approach a narration with a critical and fun spirit, alone or in a group, accompanying himself with sound objects, musical instruments and his spoken and sung voice, using the elementary parameters that music delivers for the ordering of a creation (score, rhythm, counterpoint, harmony, aria, choir, solo, tutti, articulation, accentuation, dynamics, etc.) with the purpose of laying the foundations for a personal minstrel scene.
Each participant must bring a musical instrument or a sound object of their choice.
