OLA rewards the winner of the 2017 Trujillo City Award Contest

The International Lyric Song Contest and Festival “Premio Ciudad de Trujillo 2017”, took place between November 02 and 10 of this year 2017, in the city of Trujillo, Peru. The award was granted to the Mexican baritone Daniel Hernández Cerón.

Ópera Latinoamérica, is delighted to support young local talent rewarding this year’s winner of The International Lyric singer contest Ciudad de Trujillo, Perú, Daniel Hernández Cerón.
Originally from San Luis Potosí and graduated from the Bachelor of Music with a double bass option at the Universidad Veracruzana; He is a founding member of the Symphony Orchestra of San Luis Potosí, where he worked as double bass player from 2000 to 2009; besides being a member of the Choir of the Universidad Veracruzana from 2010 to 2014.

The International Lyric Song Contest and Festival. Prize “Ciudad de Trujillo” is a unique event in its kind in Latin America that since 1997 dresses Trujillo with the presence of more than fifty prominent singers exponents of international lyric from America, Asia and Europe, besides having recognized international Masters and Pianists. The contest consists of the Contest, International Lyric Song Seminar and International Gala with the Symphony and Winners. Our purpose is to support the career of young singers from all over the world, to stimulate their artistic and personal development and to increase their knowledge and interest in the Lyrical Song and Music, especially in Latin America. Our field is that of classical lyrical singing (opera, oratorio, concert song) within the line followed by other major international competitions. This is a professional competition for young professionals or in its beginnings. The level is international since our winners are at the level of presentation in international professional rooms.
