OLA inscribes legal statutes in Santiago, Cultural Capital

With the support of the Mayor of Santiago de Chile, Opera Latinoamérica delivered on June 9th the legal statutes that will transform it into an Association with legal personality after 10 years of de-facto association.

More than a year of work lasted the process of development of the statutes for the creation of legal personality of OLA carried out jointly with the members of the network. The board of directors and administration of OLA prepares the ceremony of constitution for the 14th of July in the Mayor’s Office of Santiago with  local and international authorities. Some of the organisations objectives are:

Exchange
Collection and exchange of practical information on Latin American opera houses and their characteristics; their seasons, their productions and present and future projects.
Transmit and promote news, events and information in all forms and editorial supports deemed appropriate.

Associativity
Encourage collaboration between theaters, through co-productions or other actions.
Cooperate with any international organization that has the same or a similar function (vocation) in other continents, especially with OPERA AMERICA, OPERA EUROPA and other international organizations that help it to develop.

Training
Training of artists, technicians and professionals of these arts. Organization of seminars, conferences, internships, master classes and exchanges thanks to the management of alliances between member institutions and the rest of the world.

Accessibility
Creation of programs to develop new audiences in the classroom and digital using new technologies.

Development
Constitution, creation or participation in other legal entities, foundations, associations, federations, society or social companies and / or B-Corp for the development complementary to its objectives.
