El Liceu de Barcelona convoca el primer programa para jóvenes cantantes en conjunto con el Concurso Internacional Tenor Viñas

The course will take place from July 1 to 10 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu. The Hungarian soprano Eva Marton will teach the vocal technique classes of the course, which will be complemented with other disciplines by Leo Castaldi and Ferran Carvajal.

The inscriptions for the firstare opened program for young singers that theorganizes Gran Teatre del Liceu through the Tenor Viñas International Singing Contest with the collaboration of the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu and the Friends of the Tenor Viñas Contest group. This new initiative, which will take place from 1 to 10 July, was born with the aim of making available to the participants the necessary resources to face their first steps in the great opera houses and the international lyric market, thus accelerating their professionalization.

The Tenor Viñas International Competition, which will take over the organization and technical secretariat of the course, opened the international call, which will remain until May 19 at 23.59 hrs. and that it will accept young singers between 18 and 30 years old with finished singing studies. The new program offers an integral formation that includes vocal technique with Eva Marton, one of the most important sopranos of the last half of the 20th century, who will daily give classes to the students and will do an individual follow-up. With collective sessions, the stage director Leo Castaldi will offer stage performance and the director, choreographer and actor Ferran Carvajal will be responsible for the corporal training work for the scene. Finally, the course will also feature a lecture and practical session on Osteopathy and lyrical singing by specialist Yves Castaing.

As announced in the new artistic project of the Liceu, one of the priorities will be to promote the involvement of young people with the institution through new channels and initiatives. This first program responds to this need that was born with the will to be a first step towards a future training platform for more complete youth, which allows young singers to face a role with all its complexity.
